Crowns
A BETTER LIFE THROUGH BETTER DENTISTRY

What are dental crowns?
A dental crown is an artificial cap that is placed over a damaged or weakened tooth. It helps to restore the shape, size, strength and aesthetics of your tooth.
What materials are used?
Here are some of the most common materials from which crowns can be made:
- All-ceramic: Ideal for natural esthetics.
- Zirconia: Offers high strength and esthetics.
These materials are selected according to your individual needs and preferences.

A dental crown is an artificial cap that is placed over a damaged or weakened tooth to restore its shape, size, strength and aesthetics.
These crowns can be made from various materials such as all-ceramic and zirconia, depending on the patient's individual needs and preferences.
After the patient has been informed and anesthetized, the tooth is prepared by grinding it into a suitable shape.
An impression of the prepared tooth and the opposing jaw is taken to create an exact model.
A temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth.
The final crown is made in the laboratory. At the next appointment, the temporary crown is removed, the fit and color of the final crown is checked and adjusted if necessary.
The crown is then permanently fixed with special cement.
Patient education and anesthesia
The dentist informs the patient about the treatment procedure and anesthetizes the area to avoid pain.
